TEX IS MORE

Textile innovations for protection, comfort and care

TEX IS MORE is a valorization consortium of Ghent University Association.

Our primary focus is business development to the benefit of all segments in textile industry.

TEX IS MORE builds bridges

between academic research

and industrial applications in textiles.

We create solutions

for the needs of (end) users

from a technology and business perspective.

TEX IS MORE

is a catalyst for textile innovations

that benefit humans, animals and nature.

OUR EXPERTISE

The basic element of textiles are fibers. Reason for which we have integrated these in our logo. And whatever fabric that is created, has been created for a purpose. We believe that any textile innovation can be categorized under at least one of these 3 pillars: protection, comfort and care.

In many cases these are interconnected, often in a cause-consequence relationship.

Protection

Textiles protect not only human beings and animals but by extension also plants and crops. From a broader perspective, textiles can contribute to the protection of nature and hence our planet.

Comfort

In our projects we put a lot of emphasis on thermo-physiological and tactile aspects to achieve the highest level of comfort possible.

Care

By protecting and comforting, you surely care. At TEX IS MORE we even go one step further and we wish to create solutions that directly contribute to the health and well-being of people, humans and nature.

TEX IS MORE contributes to a positive image and attractiveness of a strong textile sector.

PROJECTS

TEX IS MORE is launching several projects dedicated to comfort. To further direct the scope there’s only one way forward:  Listen to our markets!

That’s why we are reaching out for your input on current (and if you could predict these also future) needs for innovations in textiles that bring comfort.
